What are cookies?

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how we use them on openmedical.cz, the types of cookies we use, what information they collect, how that information is used, and how you can manage your cookie settings.

Cookies are small text files that store small pieces of information. They are placed on your device when you load a website in your browser. Cookies help websites function properly, improve security, provide a better user experience, and help us understand how our website performs so we can analyse what works and where we need to improve.

In this policy, the term "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and tags, where these are used for the same purposes.

How we use cookies

Like most online services, our website uses both first-party and third-party cookies for several purposes.

First-party cookies are set by openmedical.cz and are mostly necessary for the website to function correctly. They do not collect personally identifiable information for marketing purposes.

Third-party cookies are set by services we integrate into our website. They are mainly used to help us understand how our website performs, how you interact with it, to keep our services secure, and to improve your overall experience. We do not use advertising cookies.

Types of cookies we use

This registry covers the cookies currently declared for the public website. Optional integrations remain inactive until you grant consent for the relevant category. You can change your choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" button.

Required

Necessary cookies

The website cannot run safely without them, so they cannot be switched off. They protect the website and the contact form from abuse and remember your cookie choice.

__cf_bmCloudflare30 minutesRequiredSet by Cloudflare when it checks whether a visitor is a person or an automated program (bot). It holds the encrypted result of that check and protects the website and the contact form from abuse.
Cloudflare TurnstileCloudflareWhile the page is openRequiredChecks on the contact form page that the form is sent by a person, not a bot. To do so, it reads technical properties of your browser and passes them to Cloudflare.
om-theme-modeOpenMedicalUntil cleared in your browserRequiredSaved in your browser storage (local storage) only if you choose the light or dark look of the website yourself. Remembers that choice.

Health data and cookies

OpenMedical is a paid membership and care-navigation service, not a healthcare provider. The pages you view alone could suggest a health concern. That is why we send neither analytics tools nor browser error reports the address or title of pages about individual specialties, clinics, or blog articles, only the fact that you visited, for example, a specialty page. Nor do we send them the specialty chosen in the contact form, your name, e-mail, phone number, or message. Health information you share with us by phone, by e-mail, or in the contact form is processed outside cookies and is governed by our Privacy Policy, not by this Cookie Policy.
